We’ve been having quite a good couple of months of late having played two storming sets at Liverpool’s Cavern Club and Cavern pub as part of the week long music festival International Pop Overthrow. We went down so well they’ve guaranteed us a slot or two at next years bash. Hopefully we can suck up a little more and go stateside at some point in the year too.

This weekend saw us back in Ranscombe Studios laying down the eight songs we needed to complete our debut album! This twelve track account of our first two years together is planned for release Saturday 15th August and to mark the occasion we’ll be putting on a do at the Nag’s Head in Rochester, so stick it in your diaries and we’ll give you some more info nearer the time.

We’re having a little breather at the moment while we fine tune the album and work on the packaging etc but we will be hitting the stage again early July, kicking off with;

Saturday 4th July, The Dublin Castle, 94 Parkway, Camden Town, London NW1

Our second appearance on this hallowed stage sees us move up the running order too with a “second on the bill” position with The Hard Fox kicking the night off, Pistola Kicks after us, Old School Tie headlining then an extra “headline” slot in the form of New York act Bodyface.

Doors open 8pm, we’ll be on around 8.45pm. £6 entry or £5 with a flyer.

Friday 17th July, Beacon Court Tavern, Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent

The Paisley Polka Dot Picnic Party proudly presents another of it’s 60’s garage, psychedelic, fuzz beat, 70’s Northern Soul, and classic Britpop nights with DJ’s and a three band line up: The Deccas, The Bresslaws and, all the way from Paris, Smash.

Doors open/music from 8pm. Around a fiver to get in.

Saturday 18th July, Medway Aces Scooter Rally, Dunn Street, Bredhurst,

The Medway Aces Scooter Club is holding a weekend event on the grounds of Bredhurst Nurseries. Held over three days/two nights there will be live bands, Dj’d music as diverse as ska, soul, indie and house/rave, scooter custom show and parts stalls, gymkana/rideout and other assorted fun and games, all mixed in with plenty of alcohol!!

A weekend pass costs just £15 inc camping so load up yer scooters and party the weekend away in the garden of England!

Friday’s live bands are Springtide Cavalry; playing a cracking mixture of indie covers and original material and No Future; a very authentic Sex Pistols tribute act.

Saturday will see The Deccas, The Effectives (blue-eyed soul/60’s rnb) and our Parisian friends Smash do their thang.
