Changes at NAB
Now you can listen to your favorite station via our plugins on the sidebar.
Try the embedded media Player, and if that doesn’t work for you, click on the alternative link below that, and you’ll get a pop up window.
Happy listening, and as always we welcome your constructive comments or criticisms!
A New RSS Feed For The Station
If you’re one of our readers who grabs all the info via RSS, please note that we’ve changed our RSS feed from Feedburner to FeedBlitz. We feel that FeedBlitz will give us a better service, and therefore you too.
To change to the new feed simply click on the FeedBlitz icon on the right hand side under the station clock and drop box. Then unsubscribe from your original Feedburner feed in your reader.
NAB radio recommends Firefox and Feedly as a winning combination for feed reading.
Please Pray For This Community
Please pray for Dr. Winter’s family, our two brave members who were injured when they stopped the assailant, for the assailant himself and his family, and for our church members as they deal with this tragic loss.
In this day, where uncertainty seems to abound creating an environment in which people are vulnerable in doing things they might not do otherwise, one thing is certain, we, as human beings need a foundation upon which we can live our lives. We at First Baptist Maryville, along with other Christian believers, share this conviction: that foundation is God’s Word. In the pages of the Book we call the Bible, we find the pathway for peace, hope, and a quality of living life despite what circumstances we find ourselves in.
To those who believe in the power of prayer, we covet your prayers right now.
Changes at NAB Radio
Like most everyone else, we’re watching the pennies here at NAB radio. To that end we’ve made changes to the Live Stream. This won’t reduce the quality of the audio, but it will allow us to provide streaming at a less expensive overhead to ourselves.
To that end, we’ve changed from a 128K mp3 stream to a 48K HE-AAC (aacplus) one.
How can you play it?
If you’re using Winamp in Windows as your default player, then you’re good to go. NAB will play right out of the box.
If you’re using Windows Media Player, then you can download a free plug-in to play aac files from here. It’s free.
On a Mac, and Linux, and indeed in Windows too, WE suggest using VLC Player. It is actually a great application, and will play all your audio and video, including CD, and DVD, as well as streaming radio.
If you have any questions, please drop us at line at feedback@nabradio.us, and we’ll get right back to you.
Remember, here at NAB Radio, we play music, you didn’t even know you liked.

We’ve upgraded
The NAB Radio blog is now running on nice new shiny Wordpress 2.5, specially installed for your delectation, information, and entertainment.
NAB Transmissions
We’re always striving to make it as easy as possible for you to listen to us!
To that end, we’ve streamlined the link to our live broadcast. Click on the link on the right hand side of this page, that says LISTEN LIVE NOW, and you’ll go straight to a new small window where you can listen right away. If you wish you can launch Winamp, Windows Media Player, or Real Player from there, if you have them installed on your computer. If you have any issues with connecting to us, please drop a line to PDO@northamericanbroadcasting.com
DJ Scarekrowe To Leave NAB
It is with regret that I have to announce that DJ Scarekrowe has tendered his resignation from NAB Radio. His shows have been immensely popular, and I cannot pretend that his space will be an easy one to fill.
His reasons are, of course, personal between NAB management and DJ Scarekrowe himself, but I can tell you that the parting is amicable.
I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing DJ Scarekrowe all the best for the future.
His last show for NAB Radio will be on Sunday, September 10th, 2007, from 9-11pm (EDT).
The NAD Radio schedules will of course, change to reflect his departure, and we’ll be making annoucement here and on the main web site, shortly.
Any questions please email PDO@northamericanbraodcasting.com
Decent Exposure
There have been new management positions created this week at NAB, to help with the drive for greater publicity, and to maximize exposure where it matters.
DJ Kat, who currently presents a Friday Night 70& 80’s disco show between 10-12 midnight eastern time, becomes Marketing Director for NAB Radio, and is responsible for marketing throughout the whole group.
DJ Scarekrowe becomes the Assistant Marketing Manager for our Pacific Rim affiliate, NAB Hawaii. DJ Scarekrowe will continue to bring his superb blend of of both established and new musical talent to NAB, and he has already been making superb efforts with some very pleasing results in bringing new bands to the station. Just keep watching this blog for more news!
