Bright Red Chords
It’s from the debut EP, Nagasha by Loomis & The Lust. A local DJ called it "the catchiest damn thing I’ve ever heard!" The EP is available now on Amazon and Itunes.
They’re finishing their second album and getting ready to start touring. They’ll be in Austin for SXSW this year!

Angela Easterling News
I have some fun shows coming up over the next few days you won’t want to miss. After all, it’s Valentines Day and my birthday! Come out and help me celebrate.
For Valentines, how about a (free!) show in a wine cellar at a romantic B&B. You can have some food and wine, hear a great show, and if you wish, reserve a room! I’ll be playing Saturday night at the Saluda Inn Wine Cellar from 8-10.
For my birthday, we have a FREE show on your lunch hour at the Cherokee County Public Library in Gaffney. Even better, everyone who comes gets a FREE lunch! (I’ve even heard a rumor there may be birthday cake). The show is from 12:15-1PM. I had so much fun the last time I played here & can’t wait to come back. Right after, I’ll be heading over to visit my friends at WGWG and play some tunes live on air. Be sure to tune in.
All the show details are below!
Wanna get me a present? Why not buy one of my CD’s for yourself or a friend? that’s the best gift I could get. Click the links below to purchase from Amazon, CDBaby or Itunes.
I’ll be heading to Memphis next week for Folk Alliance & playing 2 showcases on Thursday night. If you’re coming too, be sure to find me & say hi.
see you soon!

News From Jenny Goodspeed
Hello it’s me. It’s been awhile. There is something about January that makes me very very lazy. But I’m playing some shows in the very near future and unfortunately, I can’t do them from my living room couch. Instead I’ll be visiting some fine establishments and I hope you can come visit them with me.
I’ve been spending more and more time with my gals – i.e. the new trio, The Boxcar Lilies. Making music with others is what it’s all about. You can catch us in Western Mass both this Saturday in Easthampton and a couple weeks from then in Turners Falls.
I’m really happy to be doing a solo gig opening for the fabulous folk trio Red Molly in Plymouth, MA. Tickets are selling fast, so make sure to get them soon. Details for all the shows are below.
If you want to keep closer tabs on The Boxcar Lilies – sign up for our mailing list atwww.boxcarlilies.com/contact.html.
Finally, I imagine we’re all thinking of the people of Haiti. I researched some alternatives for donating to organizations who are on the ground and already helping and I thought I would share them.

Starting in February, the 2010 Surface Unsigned Festival will tour the UK, giving artists from cities such as Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, London, Brighton and Portsmouth the chance to compete for £60,000 worth of prizes. The eventual winner will pick up £5,000 in cash, a slot at the 2011 Sziget Festival in Budapest – playing to a potential audience of 65,000 people – a digital distribution contract with Zimbalam Digital and various other incentives.
“The quality of the bands that have applied so far for 2010 has been amazing,” says Surface Unsigned managing director Jay Mitchell. “We’ve already started to book acts for this year’s Festival.” Surface is still accepting applications and anyone interested should visit the website at www.surfaceunsigned.co.uk. The top 16 bands from Surface Unsigned in 2010 will play an industry showcase at London’s IndigO2 and support a major touring act. News from The Deccas
We hope you survived the Christmas period and are looking to burn off those excess calories by coming along to one or more of the following gigs.
We’re at the start of what’s already looking like a fairly busy year kicking off with a live interview/studio appearance on the legendary Radio Caroline! We’ll be on Ray Copeland’s show from around 10pm on Monday 11th January playing a couple of songs live and chatting about the band. We also get the chance to do a “Desert Island Discs” and pick a track each. Go to www.radiocaroline.co.uk for listening info.
Saturday 16th January sees us return to Tommy Flynn’s on Camden High Street (nearest tube Mornington Crescent) for a drop of the black stuff and (we believe) four bands. Only a couple of quid to get in.
Friday 29th January we take a trip to the south east coast of Kent. The Deal Welfare Club and Social Institute is the venue and for just £1 (one single pound?!) you can catch us open the three band night that includes Autumn Few (formed from the ashes of the excellent Springtide Cavalry) and indie-ska quartet The Flack. We’re reliably informed that Deal/Dover area has a burgeoning live music scene so we’re expecting a full house and the bar will be reasonably priced too. Come on, first payday after christmas, let’s have it!
Saturday 30th January and if you can’t haul your asses down to Deal or, like us, fancy a second night of it we’ll be back at where we played our very first gig; Tap n Tin, Railway Street, Chatham. The Suburban Kings team always present a line up of great bands and this night will be no exception: The Deccas, Archie Wah Wah, The Lovedays and new act The Facades. There is also “secret unannounced guests”…. Entry will be around a fiver, you will not be disappointed.
That’s for starters, we have more gigs booked through to May(details will follow) so we hope to catch up with you soon.
All the best for 2010 folks!!
