Nikki Talley – concerts schedules – August 6th – she will be performing live at Muddy Waters for the Palmetto Acoustic Series! Mark you calendar and come out and listen – she’s ROCKS!!

Helloooooo out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just wanted to send you all a very quick note and tell you I’ll be playing BELE CHERE (www.belecherefestival.com) here in downtown ASHEVILLE on FRIDAY from 5-6pm at the Coxe Avenue stage! (right in front of Jack of the Wood) i’ll be playing a rockin good set w/ the full band (including Jason Sharp on guitar, Bryan White on bass, Richard Foulk on drums & Laurel Willoughby on harmonies!) also some new merch I’m excited about: i will also have T-SHIRTS FOR SALE during my set!!!!! weeeeee!

the following day (SATURDAY JULY 25th) I’ll be playing at the FIRESTORM CAFE at 8pm right in the middle of downtown’s Bele Chere’s festivities!!!! it’s a great li’l venue and a way to get outta the heat and into a nice chill cafe to unwind and rest your feet! nik tal style!

beyond that I’m SUPER busy booking shows for my upcoming Florida tour in October as well as a new little side project w/ Laura Blackley & Lyndsay Wojcik (the Swayback Sisters!) that includes some three part harmonies, me playing banjo AND fiddle…so it’s pretty cool! check out my dates below and see if you can’t get out and see me sometime! have a great week! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx oooooooooooooo-Nikki

“Palmetto Acoustic was founded out of a love for music and a desire to create a community for independent artists and fans. The Palmetto Acoustic series is held at Muddy Waters Coffee Bar in Charleston, South Carolina. The venue is part beach cottage and part ski chalet with high beamed ceilings and hard wood floors creating a house concert vibe. Every other Thursday, Muddy Waters is transformed into a “listening room” where fans can enjoy original acoustic music while savoring the organic/fair trade coffees, beer and wine. These free concerts celebrate the poetic nature of the local, regional and national singer/songwriters as two artists each perform a 50 minute set of original music.”

Welcome Gretchen Witt from NYC and Tim Miller from Dallas, TX to the Palmetto Acoustic Series this Thursday, February 19th @ 7:30pm. Check out their tunes at www.myspace.com/palmettoacoustic.

Come early to get a seat and a beverage (coffee,beer, wine). There is plenty of additional parking in the lot adjacent to Muddy Waters. And tune into ABC’s Low Country Live on Thursday morning at 10am to see Tim perform a couple of songs.

This is the last in the series for this year, but Palmetto Acoustic will return with a brand new season starting on January 8, 2009, at the same venue.

If you’re in the Charleston area this evening, and feel like spending a couple of hours at a good venue, with some good music, and good coffee, you couldn’t do any better than to head along to Muddy Waters Coffee Bar on Ashley River Road in West Ashley.

Playing live tonight from 7.30pm are Kyle Schwarzwelder from Delaware, and Jenny Goodspeed from Massachusetts. Entry is free.

There are also panini, muffins, and chips if you get a little hungry, and a varied selection of bottled craft beers on offer

It was another great evening at Muddy Waters Coffee Bar in West Ashley. This time we got to see two ladies play; Natasha Rorrer on guitar, Ashley Chambliss on keyboard.
